Villa Rufina

Charming Tuscan stone villa for 15 + 3 people with great views in green and lush surroundings in the wine district Rufina in Chianti. The property is located in the mountainous area northeast of Florence. Here there are opportunities for nature experiences by bike, or on foot for those who want an active holiday. From 2021, it is possible horse riding and rental of electric bikes.

The villa is 230 square meters. It is spread over two floors, has 7 double rooms (one of the double rooms is located in a separate apartment) and one bedroom with 3 beds. The villa has 5 bathrooms (one of the bathrooms is located in the apartment), kitchen with dishwasher, dining area and two living rooms. Attached to the villa is a small apartment with its own entrance. It is attached to the villa with an interior door. The apartment is 40 sqm and has one double room, bathroom with shower and living room with kitchenette and TV. The villa has a cozy private garden at the back of the house. There is also the pool (4x8m, depth from 1-2 meters), and a covered patio with BBQ. The pool is open from May until September. From the villa there are fantastic views over the mountain landscape “Valdisieve”. It is walking distance to the restaurant open for all meals.

Fattoria Romagnola lie 300 meters from the villa, and has a very good restaurant. Here is a small shop that sells some grocery products. The on-site restaurant is open all day in summer and serves good local food. Menus for children, vegetarian and gluten free. The restaurant has a large terrace. Breakfast 8 euros pr. person. You can get a cooking course teaching traditional Tuscan cuisine. You are welcome to wine and oil tasting, and a tour of the on-site wine cellar. It is exciting to learn about cultivating the grapes, and the owner shares his knowledge enthusiastically. Fattoria Romagnola has a tennis court.

The location near the Apennines provides a light breeze from the mountains and makes the summer temperatures comfortable. The fresh mountain air makes this area popular with Florentines. 2 km away is an area for sport fishing. Golf courses 30 minutes drive from Romagnola, and for those who are interested in motorsport, the Mugello – Ferrari test track and the world elite motorsport course are within 30 minutes drive. Rufina Train Station has ample parking and is 7 km from Villa Rufina. There are frequent train departures to Florence, a trip that takes about 30 min. Simple groceries are sold on site. Villa Rufina (17 + 1)

The villa is 230 sqm. It does not have AC, but the house has thick brick walls that keep the heat out. The villa is spread over two floors. 1 floor consists of kitchen, dining room and two living rooms. One of the living rooms has a fireplace. On the first floor there is also located a small apartment. The apartment is 40 sqm, has one double room, bathroom with shower and living room with kitchenette and TV. It is connected to the villa by an interior door. It has its own entrance on the short side of the house. At the entrance is a small terrace. Stone stairs lead up to 2 floors with 6 bedrooms (one bedroom with 3 beds) and bathroom. The house has a total of 3 bathrooms with shower and 2 bathrooms with bath. From the second floor there is direct access to the garden and pool located at the back of the house. Large parking at the front of the house. The villa has TV, dishwasher, washing machine and BBQ by the patio.

The prices above are stated in euros and apply to weekly stays.
Final cleaning, bed linen, towels, electricity, water and gas are included in the price.
There is an additional charge for electricity for heating. This is normally only necessary for rentals for the period before May or from the end of September.
Buffet breakfast € 8.00 per person.
Extra bed per person € 70.00 per week.
Cot rental € 20.00 per week.
The kitchen must be left tidy on departure. Untidy kitchen will be charged with € 35.00.
Prices do not include tourist tax. This must be paid on site. The tourist tax applies to all persons over the age of 14 and amounts to € 1.00 per day for up to 7 days.
A security deposit of € 300.00 must be paid on arrival. The money is returned in full on departure if no significant damage has occurred.
When booking, 30% of the rental amount must be paid. The balance is paid 10 weeks before arrival.

Time of arrival: Between 15:00 and 19:00. For arrivals after 19:00, a surcharge of € 50.00 must be paid. It is not possible to arrive after 22:00.
