Wine castle Castello Maria has 12 apartments suitable for 2-7 people. The area is surrounded by stunning vineyards, and incredibly beautiful views. The nearest small village is 2 km away where you will find a restaurant and a small supermarket.

If you stay at Castello Maria you have an excellent starting point to visit the many charming towns and vineyards of Chianti. Visit places like Castellina, Greve in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni and Gaiole. Vineyards can be found along the roads in many places. This is the area for those who love good food and wine, but also a lovely place to holiday for families with children. From all the apartments in the castle you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Chianti hills. The apartments at Castello Maria have antique handmade terracotta tiles and stairs inside and outside are made of Pietra Serena (a typical Tuscan stone). There are exposed beams that are typical of Tuscany. The apartments are decorated with nice furniture and antique kilim rugs. The pool (6.5x17m, depth 1.40m) is open from May to October.

Location

Florence is 30 minutes away, Montefinidolfi 2 km, San Casciano 5 km, Florence 15 km, Siena 44 km, San Gimignano 44 km, Pisa 100 km and Lucca 100 km. Florence Airport is a 30-minute drive away.

Extra virgine olive oil and Chianti wine are produced at castle, Castello Maria.  The host can organize wine tasting, or excursions by bike. The property extends over 100 hectares with vineyards, olive groves, and some other plants. Breakfast and wine tasting at Castello Maria can be arranged. The establishment has a simple wellness center with several types of treatments.

Frullacchia (2)

The apartment is about 34 sqm and is located on the ground floor. It has a kitchenette with sitting area (dishwasher), double bedroom (sleeps 2), bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is located in the same building as I Cipressi, Il Tiglio and la Quercia.

In Cyprus (2)

The apartment is about 44 sqm and is located on the 2nd floor. It has a living room with kitchenette, double bedroom (sleeps 2), bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is located in the same building as Frullacchia, Il Tiglio and La Quercia.

Casa Erta (2)

The apartment is about 48 sqm and is located on the ground floor with a cozy patio with table and chairs. It has a living room (fireplace), kitchenette (dishwasher), double bedroom (sleeps 2), bathroom with shower, toilet and Jacuzzi. The apartment is located in the building called Cappella together with La Canonica, and Poggiosanto.

La Quercia (2 + 1)

The apartment is about 47 sqm and is located on the 3rd floor. It has a living room with kitchenette (dishwasher), a single sofa bed (sleeps 1), double bedroom (sleeps 2), bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is located in the same building as Frullacchia, I Cipressi and Il Tiglio.

Il Tiglio (2 + 2)

The apartment is about 52 sqm and is located on the 2nd floor. It has a living room, kitchenette (washing machine and dishwasher), double sofa bed (sleeps 2), double bedroom (sleeps 2), two bathrooms with shower and toilet. The apartment is located in the same building as Frullacchia, I Cipressi and La Quercia.

Il Castello (2 + 2)

The apartment is about 55 sqm and goes over the 2nd and 3rd floor. On the second floor there is a living room (fireplace), kitchenette (dishwasher), double sofa bed (sleeps 2). On the third floor there is a double bedroom (sleeps 2), and bathroom with shower, toilet and Jacuzzi. The apartment is located in the main castle on the property.

Casa Giotto (2 + 2)

The apartment is about 87 sqm and is located on the 2nd floor. It has a living room (fireplace), kitchenette (dishwasher), two single sofa beds (sleeps 2), double bedroom (sleeps 2), and bathroom with shower, toilet and Jacuzzi. The apartment is located in the same building as Monte Dei Sassi.

La Torretta (2 + 2)

The apartment is about 70 sqm and goes over two floors (ground floor and 2nd floor). It has a private garden with great views. It has a living room (fireplace), kitchenette (dishwasher and washing machine), double sofa bed (sleeps 2) and bathroom with toilet. On the second floor there is a bedroom (sleeps 2) and a bathroom with Jacuzzi.

Poggiosanto (4 + 2)

The apartment is about 79 sqm and is located on the 2nd floor. It has a small private terrace with great views, table and chairs, living room (fireplace), kitchenette (dishwasher), a sofa bed (sleeps 2), two double bedrooms (sleeps 4), two bathrooms with shower, toilet and Jacuzzi. The apartment is located in the same building as La Canonica and Casa Erta, called Cappella.

La Canonica (4 + 2)

The apartment is about 100 sqm and is located on the ground floor with private garden with table and chairs. Living room (fireplace), double sofa bed (sleeps 2), kitchenette (dishwasher), double bedroom (sleeps 2), double bedroom (sleeps 2), bathroom with shower, toilet and Jacuzzi. The apartment is located in the same building as Poggiosanto and Casa Erta, called Cappella.

Le Ginestre (4 + 3)

The apartment is about 119 sqm and is located on the ground floor and on the 2nd floor, with private garden. It has living room (fireplace), single sofa bed (sleeps 1), two double bedrooms (sleeps 4), double sofa bed (sleeps 2), dining area, kitchenette (dishwasher and washing machine), two bathrooms with shower and toilet.

Monte Del Sassi (4 + 2)

The apartment is about 112 sqm and is located on the ground floor with patio. Living room with fireplace and double sofa bed. Dining table. Kitchen (dishwasher). 1 double room and 1 double room with two single beds. Bath with jaquzzi. WC.

Paterno (3)

The apartment is about 134 sqm and is located on the ground floor. Living room with fireplace. Dining room. Kitchen (dishwasher). 1 double room and 1 single room. 1 bathroom with shower.

Spring (minimum 3 nights), summer (only Saturday-Saturday) and autumn (minimum 3 nights).

The prices above are in euros and apply to a week’s stay. Rental Saturday – Saturday.

The prices include final cleaning, bed linen and towels for indoor use, gas, electricity, WIFI and loan of bicycles and cots for children aged 0-2 years.
If your rent applies to the period before May or from the end of September, electricity for heating is not included in the price.
Breakfast costs €15.00 for adults €10.00 for children.
Tourist tax is not included in our prices. It is paid on the spot according to the current rates for the region.
On arrival, a security deposit of €200 per accommodation must be paid. The money is returned on departure if no damage has occurred.
Dogs are allowed.
NB: +2 means 2 sleeping places in the sofa bed in the living room.
When ordering, 30% of the rent must be paid.
The remaining payment is paid 10 weeks before arrival.

Arrival time: Between 15.00 and 17.00. If you arrive outside these times, this must be agreed directly.
Departure: By 10.00 am.
