Very charming Tuscan stone house with pool and picturesque view. Walking distance to two restaurants.

12 km from the historic center of Lucca is this very beautiful Tuscan house which is as if it’s straight out of an interior magazine. The house is located in rural and quiet surroundings with 180 degree panoramic views. Viareggio with its lovely sandy beaches is 45 minutes away by car. Small picturesque places lie like pearls on a string not far from this place, and on the hillside you will find several of Lucca’s famous vineyards and olive groves. There are several cozy restaurants in the local area, and in summer you can visit a sagra (village party). Here you meet Italians in their local environment and eat and drink well at reasonable prices. The property has 250 olive trees, and the house’s olive oil is delicious.

At Colle there is plenty of space where up to 2 families can stay. The house is spread over three floors and has 4 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is like a small apartment with a double bed and space for an extra bed. If the entire space is used, a total of 8 guests can stay, and there’s enough room for a small child on an extra bed. The kitchen has direct access to the cozy seating area with trellis, and garden. The garden has fruit trees, herbs and flowers. From the pool and the garden there are views over olive groves, vines and small villages. The house is beautifully decorated. Colors and design are carefully chosen by owners who have an eye for detail. The owners who are Italian and French, live screened off in a separate part of the house and are painters and potters respectively. They are very friendly and helpful with tips and information. They keep to themselves, but maybe you will be invited for an aperitivo and a chat. The owners have two children. Their part of the house has a separate garden and they do not use the pool.

In the garden there is a sauna which is lovely in spring and autumn. The pool (4x8m, depth 1.0-1.70m) is open from May to the end of October. Nearest restaurants are 200 meters and 400 meters away. Nearest baker and grocery store about 1.5 km. Distances: Pisa 50 min, sea 40 min, Lucca center 15-20 min, Florence 1 hour.

Lucca is a great base from which to explore Tuscany. Here you have a short distance to visit Florence, Pisa, Chianti or San Gimignano. Spring is a wonderful time in Tuscany. Then it abounds with flowers. Autumn is characterized by grape harvesting and the winegrowers are always excited about the quality of the grapes. If you rent in November, you can participate in the olive harvest.

About Colle (8):

270 sqm. The house is spread over 3 floors, has 4 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has an extra bed for children. The kitchen is located on the ground floor and has direct access to the terrace with covered trellis with vines. The 2nd floor has two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with shower and one with large round bath and shower) and large dining room with pizza oven. On the 3rd floor there is a TV lounge (limited number of channels), 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (both with shower). The house does not have AC, but fans in all bedrooms. Houses are located high on a hillside and there is always a slight breeze in the evenings. The pool is located down a small gravel road about 60 m from the house. By the pool there is a sitting area with a shaded area, sun loungers, power outlet and refrigerator. From the pool there are surrounding views.

The prices above are in euros and apply to weekly stays. Rental Saturday – Saturday. Weekly rentals only in June, July and August.

Any use of heating not included in the price.
Bed linen / cleaning comes at an additional € 20 per person per week.
When renting for two weeks, you pay € 80.00 for cleaning and change of bed linen / towels in the middle of your stay.
A security deposit of € 200.00 must be paid upon arrival. The money is returned in full on departure if no significant damage has occurred.
When booking, 30% of the accomodation total must be paid.
The balance is paid 10 weeks before arrival.
