Rigone in Chianti is an old farmhouse from the 1800s, which in 1997 was converted into a cozy little holiday center with a total of 9 apartments. The apartments are spread over three buildings on the property. All buildings are renovated and equipped with modern facilities. The facades of the buildings are preserved in typical Tuscan style.

The first of the three buildings is called Casa Colonica and was used to store equipment, as stables and housing for the farm workers’ family. At the entrance to this building was a brick oven that was used to bake bread for the whole village. The other building is called Tabaccaia and was used for drying tobacco leaves, which was a valuable crop in these regions. The third building is called Fienile and was used as a barn.

The pool is surrounded by olive trees and vines and has plenty of sun loungers and parasols. Playground for the little ones right by the pool. BBQ. Nice place with long table, light and views. Car parking. Loan of 4 mountain bike’s, on request.

Rigone in Chianti is 1-2 km from Montaione. 300 m to the colonial. In Montaione you will find shops, restaurants, buses etc. Golf course 10 km away. The nearest train station is Castelfiorentino (about 10 km away). Nearest airports are Pisa and Florence.

The prices above are in euros and apply to weekly stays. Rental Saturday-Saturday. Only weekly rent in high season, otherwise at least 4 days.

When booking, about 30% of the rental amount must be paid. The balance is payable 10 weeks before arrival.
