Emilia-Romagna
Emiglia-Romagna located between the river Po in the north and the Apennines in the south. In this region are the well-known car manufacturers Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. Emilia-Romagna is one of Europe’s richest regions. The famous parma ham and parmesan cheese come from this region. The cheese was created in the Podal and on the Po in the Middle Ages, probably by monks in the 12th or 13th century. The capital of the region is Bologna. The most famous coastal town in the region is Rimini on the Adriatic Coast. Famous towns in the region are Modena, Ferrara og Parma
